About the Chamber
The Chinese Business Association of Ireland (CBAI) is a formally registered non-profit business organisation in Ireland, dedicated to becoming the core bridge and premier platform connecting trade and economic exchange between Ireland and China. The Chamber brings together Chinese enterprises operating in Ireland, local Irish businesses with a strong interest in the Chinese market, and professionals from related fields — working to foster exchange and cooperation among its members and to drive the vigorous growth of bilateral trade and investment.
Chen Huade
President of the Chamber
Chen Huade, male, of Han ethnicity, was born in 1979 in Pingtan, Fujian. He currently serves as President of the Chinese Business Association of Ireland, Chairman for Ireland of the European Federation of Fujian Associations, Honorary President of the United Kingdom Fujian Native-Place Fellowship Federation, Honorary Adviser to the United Kingdom Fujian Business Federation, President of the 6th Council of the Ireland Fujian General Chamber of Commerce, Director of the Dublin “Overseas Chinese Service Centre” for its 2nd and 3rd terms, and Honorary President of the First Returned Overseas Chinese Federation of the Junshan District of Pingtan.
Mr Chen came to Ireland in 2004 and started his own business in 2005. He went on to found China-Europe Union Trade Co. Ltd, E2G Logistics, Easy Motion Co. Ltd, the EasyBest.ie e-commerce platform and China Yichuang International Co. Ltd in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2016 and 2017 respectively. In 2015 he was nominated by Enterprise Ireland for a “Top Ten Young Entrepreneur Innovation Award” and gave an in-depth interview to the Irish national broadcaster RTÉ. Deeply engaged in Ireland–China cross-border trade and supply chains, he works actively to build bridges for economic cooperation between the two countries, is a committed supporter of overseas Chinese community-building and people-to-people cultural exchange, and helps compatriots at home and abroad share resources and pursue development together.
