Harry Xia

From 2005 to 2010, he worked as an English interpreter at Lionbridge, an international translation company, and at Interling Translation, providing interpreting services over a long period for the Irish Department of Justice, the Department of Agriculture, business visits by other departments, and hospital emergency departments.

From 2010 to 2011, he took part in the Shanghai World Expo 2010, serving as assistant to the Secretary General under the Irish Taoiseach and as the person in charge of the Ireland Pavilion. He was responsible for the pavilion’s day-to-day management, the reception of senior leaders and the coordination of official events, and assisted with the Expo’s closing work.

From 2013 to 2016, he worked at Musgrave MarketPlace, a century-old Irish food wholesaler, as Asian Market Development Manager, responsible for local sales of Asian foods, cultural promotion, and operational support for Chinese catering businesses.

From 2015, he has been a member of the Irish Young Entrepreneurs Association, serving as its secretary and as an executive council member, committed to building a cooperation platform for Chinese businesses, promoting entrepreneurship, and upholding a philosophy of mutual benefit.

From 2016 to 2025, building on the association’s platform and working closely with fellow council members, he invested in a number of restaurants and expanded into imported car sales, catering IT, traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture and physiotherapy, and corporate hospitality, promoting business and cultural exchange between China and Ireland.

In 2025, together with colleagues from the association, he co-founded the “Chinese Business Association of Ireland” to give Chinese and Irish businesses more comprehensive business support and to promote cooperation between the two countries’ enterprises.
